Dr. Leslie Koralek has over 25 years of experience in treating alcoholism and chemical dependency. His specialty is helping families perform interventions, nationally and internationally. The most respected treatment centers regularly recommend Dr. Koralek. As a recovering alcoholic for more than 20 years, D r. Koralek knows first hand of the struggles that families encounter when dealing with chemical dependency.
While directing a major treatment center, Dr. Koralek helped to found an impared physicians program to develop and manage treatment options for chemically dependent physicians. In addition, he consults for employee assistance programs and develops drug and alcohol in the workplace programs for major companies.
Prior to starting his private practice in 1989, Dr. Koralek co-founded and served as the clinical director of the Springbrook Institute in Newburg, Oregon. At the Springbrook Institute, Dr. Koralek developed and operated a 47-bed treatment center focusing on the treatment of physicians with addictions. In the years prior to the Springbrook Institute, Dr. Koralek founded Program 180, a 42-bed treatment center and outpatient program, and served as executive director of CareUnit, a 28-bed treatment center.
In recent years, Dr. Koralek has served on the board of the Oregon Partnership for a Drug Free Oregon. In addition, Dr. Koralek has spoken about addiction to many groups including the Medford Business Alliance, Nike employees, and the Providence Hospital System Volunteers.
Dr. Koralek has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and eastern religions & philosophy from the Psychological Studies Institute in Palo Alto, California. |
